Mr & Mrs Huxley

Mr & Mrs Huxley have lived in their 1860’s property for three years, with renovations on the property starting over a year ago. The couple have past experience in renovations but this project at their property would be their biggest to date.

The house previously had upvc windows installed, which the customer states that they look ill-suited to the property. The customers were determined to have timber windows and doors installed to restore the house to how it would have been.

Mr & Mrs Huxley have gone to great lengths to ensure that the extension to the rear of the house and any new openings have been matched to the original house as closely as possible. Features such as brick type, brick arches, symmetry etc have been looked into at great detail to ensure a close match.

The new ‘Bevington’ timber entrance door features the charming bolection mouldings which were inspired by the original hallway doors mouldings and details.
