"The showroom team were fantastic, the fitting was very professional and tidy. The fitters were always keeping everything very clean. Being so high up, good windows were imperative to the house, and Timber Windows really were the perfect fit."

Mr & Mrs Boyce

Mr & Mrs Boyce's house was built in 1996, the land was previously part of an old naval base, so a lot of it was old military buildings, training yards, swimming pool etc.

Mr & Mrs Boyce purchased the house 10 years ago. At the time of purchase, the house was thatched and had Upvc windows installed. Where the property is so high up, it is quite exposed to the elements, especially wind and during a storm the thatch got so damaged that it wasn’t worth repairing. Instead, Mr & Mrs Boyce switched to a tiled roof, a style many of the other houses on the estate have. All of the homes are different which gives the estate more character.

Mr & Mrs Boyce opted to retain the swept head detail and lipped casement style of the original windows as it suited the house so well. The first room they focused on was the lounge, which used to be so noisy and drafty due to the height of the house. When the new French doors were installed, Mr Boyce described it as having ‘sealed the room’. "The difference was instantly noticeable, and it became so much quieter and peaceful."

Mr Boyce really couldn’t speak highly enough of the quality of the new windows and doors. “the house is so quiet and warm, and it feels solid!”

There is a separate garage with an office above it. Mr & Mrs Boyce were so impressed with the new windows and doors, they asked their builder to go to Timber Windows for the garage doors, which he did. Even the builder was that impressed, that he starting recommending Timber Windows to others.
