What is UPVC?

The abbreviation UPVC stand for Unplasticized Polyvinyl Chloride, which is a rigid PVC. PVC is a commonly used thermoplastic material. As the material can be completely coloured, any scratches or marks can simply be polished to achieve a perfect look. It is highly UV-resistant, can be welded to give a seamless look and does not erode, even if the material gets into direct contact with salt water.

How strong are UPVC windows?

REHAU's window frames have internal galvanised steel reinforcement. Furthermore, REHAU UPVC windows all have fusion welded corners, so no mechanical fixing is used. This makes the chance of breakage very low in comparison with those windows using mechanical corner style fixings.

What are the advantages of UPVC windows & doors?

REHAU UPVC will not rot or corrode, making it ideal for all areas, especially coastal applications. It is virtually maintenance free, requiring no painting or treatment. Most important are the thermal properties related to UPVC windows. REHAU casement window profiles have a U Value of around 1.4.

What colours are available?

Although REHAU profiles are standard white in colour, different colours can be achieved by either foiling the profile, or even painting the profile, to achieve the desired effect.

What back-up is there, should anything happen to my windows?

REHAU window profiles carry a 10 year guarantee against product failure.

Are doors also part of REHAU's product range?

Yes, we offer French, residential, in-line sliding and folding, stacking doors.
