As with all of our other windows and doors, engineered timber is used for the French doors, whether it be Redwood, Meranti or Oak. Double opening French doors may be designed to open inwards or outwards as best suits your interior layout and have been developed for security, performance and long life.
The master door is fitted with multi-point locking mechanisms featuring hook bolts and deadlock, whilst the slave door is fitted with strong, unobtrusive flush bolts. The French doors have timber sections that resist warping and twisting with robust hinges, as well as the high locking system. They also have high performance paint coatings that give a long life of low maintenance.
With the developing technology over the years, there has been a significant change in French door equipment, offering improvements to operation, draught sealing and aesthetics. The manufacturing process of today means that we can offer almost any style of French door and frame as well as a range of glazing units, fittings and timber panels. The timber French doors are also available in a range of colour finishes or stains: we match to any RAL colour, Farrow & Ball or Fired Earth shade. Dual colours are also offered in case you do require an alternative colour on the interior.
