"We really love the new front door. The style is perfect for this period of home. The quality really shows, the house feels so much more secure now. The showroom team have been fantastic from the start through to the finish"

Mr & Mrs Paling

The stunning Chalfont timber entrance door was installed in the detached Victorian home built in 1886 by Jack and Alan. Mr & Mrs Paling bought the house 25 years ago and the old door they think was the original. The old door was in terrible state “it felt like you could poke a hole through it with your finger”and did not feel secure “it felt like it could just be opened up with a credit card”.

The customers found Timber Windows online as they were searching around for a good door company local to them. When they first came across Timber Windows, they thought it was windows only until they visited the showroom. The customers were impressed with the doors on display at the showroom and the friendly team who gave them advice.

The new door is of the same style as the original and the new stained glass is a recreation of the original. The glass design features in the door porch so the customers were keen to keep the design. The original stained glass has been kept and they hope to frame it at some point. Following the installation of the new front door, the customers had the tiling around it redone to suit the finish of the new door. It's contributed to a beautiful new entrance for their lovely symmetrical home.

"We really loved going through the complete guide. It is a lovely, comprehensive, high quality brochure with lots of pictures that helped us decide what style and colour to go for”.
