Mr & Mrs Brown
When Mr & Mrs Brown visited our Winchester showroom, they were looking to introduce two beautifully crafted timber doors to their property, each designed to complement its individual setting while bringing a sense of timeless character and elegance.
For the entrance, they selected a classic timber Chalfont door, finished in Farrow & Ball ‘De Nimes’. The sophisticated blue-green hue is complemented by a crisp White frame (RAL 9003) and a striking Black cill (RAL 9005), creating a considered and distinctive entrance.
At the rear of the property, a timber Bardwell door was chosen, painted externally in Farrow & Ball ‘Mizzle’ and finished internally in the soft, understated tones of ‘Wimborne White’. The harmonious palette brings warmth and subtle sophistication to the back of the home.
Completing both designs, the customers selected charming antique brass hardware from Samuel Heath. With its beautifully aged finish and timeless detailing, the hardware provides the perfect finishing touch, enhancing the character and craftsmanship of both doors.
Mrs Brown goes on to say "The doors are solid! I love the colour options that Timber Windows Southern offer, as they have Farrow & Ball colour options".
Using engineered timber keeps the beautiful and tactile qualities of traditional wood but avoids the innate expansion and contraction issues that can occur from using solid wood. Engineered (multi-layered) timber is created by layering wood sections, with the grain of one section being layered in the opposing direction to the grain of its neighbour. Cleverly layering in this manner ensures any movement caused by absorption of moisture is evened out.
This leads to stronger, longer lasting windows and doors. Making sure they stay a perfect fit-just as the day they were installed.
