Mr & Mrs Harrison

Mr and Mrs Harrison were looking for a high-quality new hardwood timber entrance door for their property in Winchester. After conducting some research on Google, they visited our Winchester showroom to explore the options available.

Mrs Harrison said, “It was good to see the product in person. We really didn’t want plastic.”

The couple chose a Chalfont timber entrance door, with the frame painted in White (RAL 9003), the door sash painted in Black (RAL 9005), and the cill finished in a Wenge stain.

To complete the look, they selected Satin Brass hardware from Coastal.

Following the successful installation of their new front door, the customers decided to enhance the rear of their property with three new timber sash windows.

The sash windows are finished in Off White (RAL 9010) and feature 36mm astragal bars, complementing the traditional character of the property while providing a high-quality, timeless finish.

Using engineered timber keeps the beautiful and tactile qualities of traditional wood but avoids the innate expansion and contraction issues that can occur from using solid wood.  Engineered (multi-layered) timber is created by layering wood sections, with the grain of one section being layered in the opposing direction to the grain of its neighbour. Cleverly layering in this manner ensures any movement caused by absorption of moisture is evened out.

This leads to stronger, longer lasting windows and doors. Making sure they stay a perfect fit-just as the day they were installed.
