Mr & Mrs Pearce

Mr and Mrs Pearce first discovered Timber Windows Southern online while researching replacement windows and doors for their property in 2022.

Following a visit to our showroom, they chose to proceed with the installation of eight timber flush casement windows and a timber Staverton entrance door. The windows were finished in Cream (RAL 9001) externally and White (RAL 9001) internally. To create a striking entrance, the door sash was painted in Farrow & Ball's French Gray, while the frame and cill were finished in Cream (RAL 9001).

Having been delighted with the results of the initial installation, the Pearces later returned to Timber Windows Southern to undertake a second phase of improvements. This project included additional timber flush casement windows, French doors, and a Stratfield door. The windows and French doors were again finished in Cream (RAL 9001) externally and White (RAL 9001) internally, ensuring consistency throughout the property.

To complement the original entrance door, the Stratfield door sash was also painted in Farrow & Ball's French Gray, with the frame and cill finished in Cream (RAL 9001), creating a cohesive and elegant appearance across the home.

Using engineered timber keeps the beautiful and tactile qualities of traditional wood but avoids the innate expansion and contraction issues that can occur from using solid wood.  Engineered (multi-layered) timber is created by layering wood sections, with the grain of one section being layered in the opposing direction to the grain of its neighbour. Cleverly layering in this manner ensures any movement caused by absorption of moisture is evened out.

This leads to stronger, longer lasting windows and doors. Making sure they stay a perfect fit-just as the day they were installed.
