"The service was good! The installation was good and the team were easy to have in the house. Alan was great to deal with"

Miss Lill

Located within a historic city in Hampshire, Miss Lill decided to upgrade the windows and front door at the front of her property.

After researching various window companies, she chose to visit the Timber Windows Southern showroom, having seen the team working on neighbouring homes.

Miss Lill wanted a like-for-like replacement, opting for new timber sash windows at the front of the property. The sash windows are finished in white (RAL 9003), maintaining the property’s traditional appearance.

For the entrance, the customer selected a timber ‘Westonbirt’ front door. The door is factory finished in Oxford Blue (RAL 5011) externally and white (RAL 9003) internally, creating a striking yet classic contrast. It also features a charming star-etched glass design, adding character while providing an element of privacy.

To complete the look, Miss Lill chose polished chrome hardware for the front door, offering a clean and elegant finishing touch.

Using engineered timber keeps the beautiful and tactile qualities of traditional wood but avoids the innate expansion and contraction issues that can occur from using solid wood.  Engineered (multi-layered) timber is created by layering wood sections, with the grain of one section being layered in the opposing direction to the grain of its neighbour. Cleverly layering in this manner ensures any movement caused by absorption of moisture is evened out.

This leads to stronger, longer lasting windows and doors. Making sure they stay a perfect fit-just as the day they were installed.
