Mr and Mrs Jones got in touch with us after being recommended by their neighbours, for whom we had previously installed windows and a front door.
Following a visit to our Horndean showroom, they chose a Kingston timber entrance door, carefully customised to suit their home.
The door sash is finished in Farrow & Ball’s Pigeon, complemented by a crisp white frame (RAL 9003) and a contrasting black cill (RAL 9005).
To complete the look, they selected aged brass hardware, adding a subtle yet sophisticated touch. The aged brass finish from From the Anvil brings a warm, characterful quality that pairs beautifully with deep, dark paint tones—creating a striking and elegant entrance.
Using engineered timber keeps the beautiful and tactile qualities of traditional wood but avoids the innate expansion and contraction issues that can occur from using solid wood. Engineered (multi-layered) timber is created by layering wood sections, with the grain of one section being layered in the opposing direction to the grain of its neighbour. Cleverly layering in this manner ensures any movement caused by absorption of moisture is evened out.
This leads to stronger, longer lasting windows and doors. Making sure they stay a perfect fit-just as the day they were installed.
