Mr & Mrs Fogarty
Mr and Mrs Fogarty first discovered Timber Windows Southern after passing the showroom on numerous occasions.
The customers opted for a ‘Frenchay’ timber entrance door complete with sidelights. The door is factory finished in black (RAL 9005) externally, complemented by a clean white finish (RAL 9003) on the interior, creating a striking yet elegant contrast.
To complete the look, Mr and Mrs Fogarty selected pewter hardware, adding a subtle, sophisticated touch. The customers also opted for our signature bevelled glass, featured in both the door and sidelights, enhancing the overall design with a classic decorative detail.
Time honoured stained glass manufacturing techniques are used to create our signature range of traditional glasses. Hand lead is used to join together individual panes of coloured and textured glass. This handmade pane is then 'sandwiched' within a double glazed unit creating, in effect, triple glazing. The result is quite stunning with the depth, colour and texture of the traditional glasses providing a unique visual aesthetic..
Using engineered timber keeps the beautiful and tactile qualities of traditional wood but avoids the innate expansion and contraction issues that can occur from using solid wood. Engineered (multi-layered) timber is created by layering wood sections, with the grain of one section being layered in the opposing direction to the grain of its neighbour. Cleverly layering in this manner ensures any movement caused by absorption of moisture is evened out.
This leads to stronger, longer lasting windows and doors. Making sure they stay a perfect fit-just as the day they were installed.
