Mr & Mrs Pack
Mr and Mrs Pack, who live in a village in Hampshire, visited our Horndean showroom while searching for new windows and doors for their property.
After exploring our range, they selected a ‘Kingston’ timber front door, along with a ‘Stratfield’ timber door and a ‘Rawlinson’ timber door for the side of their home.
Both the ‘Kingston’ and ‘Stratfield’ doors are finished in Porcelain (RAL 7044), while the ‘Rawlinson’ door is finished in Anthracite (RAL 7016), creating a subtle yet stylish contrast.
To complement their new doors, the customers chose heritage-style windows throughout the property. These timber alternative windows feature a woodgrain effect foil and authentic timber-look joints, carefully designed to replicate the appearance of traditional timber windows. The frames have been sprayed in RAL 7044, perfectly matching the front and side doors for a cohesive finish.
Using engineered timber keeps the beautiful and tactile qualities of traditional wood but avoids the innate expansion and contraction issues that can occur from using solid wood. Engineered (multi-layered) timber is created by layering wood sections, with the grain of one section being layered in the opposing direction to the grain of its neighbour. Cleverly layering in this manner ensures any movement caused by absorption of moisture is evened out.
This leads to stronger, longer lasting windows and doors. Making sure they stay a perfect fit-just as the day they were installed.
