Mr & Mrs Lyndhurst
Located on the South Coast, Mr & Mrs Lyndhurst were looking to enhance their home with new windows and a front door. After spotting our advertisement in a magazine and hearing glowing recommendations from friends, they reached out to discuss their project.
We installed a beautiful ‘Chadlington’ timber entrance door, featuring a sash finished in Fired Earth ‘Glass Samphire’ – a clear, cool blue with an ethereal softness. The door frame is painted in white (RAL 9003), complemented by a ‘light oak’ stained cill, creating a timeless and inviting look.
For the sidelights, the customers chose ‘Satinovo’ glass, providing privacy while allowing natural light to flow through the entranceway. The door is completed with polished chrome hardware, adding a sleek, contemporary touch.
To match the new entrance, we also installed flush casement windows, finished in white (RAL 9003) for a crisp, cohesive appearance.
The result is a stylish and harmonious transformation that beautifully complements the Lyndhursts’ coastal property.
Using engineered timber keeps the beautiful and tactile qualities of traditional wood but avoids the innate expansion and contraction issues that can occur from using solid wood. Engineered (multi-layered) timber is created by layering wood sections, with the grain of one section being layered in the opposing direction to the grain of its neighbour. Cleverly layering in this manner ensures any movement caused by absorption of moisture is evened out.
This leads to stronger, longer lasting windows and doors. Making sure they stay a perfect fit-just as the day they were installed.
