"The service from Timber Windows Southern was excellent. The installers were great and they are a good local company!"

Mr & Mrs Hall

Located in Denmead, Mr and Mrs Hall decided it was time to upgrade the windows throughout their property. After visiting our Horndean showroom, they chose the beautifully crafted timber flush casement windows for their home.

The window and French door frames are finished in white (RAL 9003) internally and black (RAL 9005) externally, while the sashes feature a clean white (RAL 9003) finish both inside and out. The set of French doors and twenty-six windows are enhanced by elegant arched gothic astragal bar detailing, a design feature the customers spotted in our choices brochure.

To complete the look, the windows are fitted with black monkey tail window handles and peg stays from the Anvil, adding a touch of traditional charm.

Mr and Mrs Hall also chose to upgrade their front door, selecting a ‘Staverton’ stable door. The door sash is finished in a light oak stain, while the frame and cill are painted in black (RAL 9005). To ensure a cohesive look, they opted for matching Anvil monkey tail door handles to complement the window furniture.

Using engineered timber keeps the beautiful and tactile qualities of traditional wood but avoids the innate expansion and contraction issues that can occur from using solid wood.  Engineered (multi-layered) timber is created by layering wood sections, with the grain of one section being layered in the opposing direction to the grain of its neighbour. Cleverly layering in this manner ensures any movement caused by absorption of moisture is evened out.

This leads to stronger, longer lasting windows and doors. Making sure they stay a perfect fit-just as the day they were installed.
