"The service from Timber Windows Southern was friendly and professional."

Mr & Mrs Mackay

Situated in a village near Petersfield, Mr and Mrs Mackay decided it was time to upgrade their old front door. After researching their options online, the couple reached out to us in search of a timeless, high-quality replacement.

Mrs Mackay explains "We were looking for quality and competitive pricing when choosing the door. It was also useful being able to go to the showroom and see the various finishes and accessories rather than selecting solely from a brochure or online."

They chose our elegant ‘Bevington’ timber entrance door, beautifully painted in Farrow & Ball’s ‘Treron’ a sophisticated, muted green that complements the natural surroundings. The look was completed with satin stainless steel hardware by From the Anvil.

Using engineered timber keeps the beautiful and tactile qualities of traditional wood but avoids the innate expansion and contraction issues that can occur from using solid wood.  Engineered (multi-layered) timber is created by layering wood sections, with the grain of one section being layered in the opposing direction to the grain of its neighbour.  Cleverly layering in this manner ensures any movement caused by absorption of moisture is evened out.

This leads to stronger, longer lasting windows and doors. Making sure they stay a perfect fit-just as the day they were installed.
