Mr & Mrs Ridgemere

Situated in a city centre location, Mr. and Mrs. Ridgemere made the decision to replace the old single pane sash windows in their property. 

After visiting one of our showrooms, the couple chose to maintain the classic look of their property by replicating the original astragal bar layout on their new timber sash windows.

Mr. Ridgemere shared, “The new windows are aesthetically sympathetic to the sash windows that have been replaced.”

The new timber sash windows are factory-finished in white (RAL 9003) and complemented with elegant satin nickel hardware—offering a seamless blend of traditional style and modern performance.

Using engineered timber keeps the beautiful and tactile qualities of traditional wood but avoids the innate expansion and contraction issues that can occur from using solid wood.  Engineered (multi-layered) timber is created by layering wood sections, with the grain of one section being layered in the opposing direction to the grain of its neighbour.  Cleverly layering in this manner ensures any movement caused by absorption of moisture is evened out.

This leads to stronger, longer lasting windows and doors. Making sure they stay a perfect fit-just as the day they were installed.
