Mr & Mr Shrimpton-Davis

Situated in a picturesque village in East Hampshire, Mr. and Mr. Shrimpton-Davis aimed to retain the traditional charm of their grade 2 listed cottage while modernising its windows and doors.

Keen to preserve the property's historic character, the homeowners sought replacements that closely matched the original designs.

The window casements and door sashes feature a white finish (RAL 9003) both inside and out. The external frames and cills are finished in black (RAL 9005), while the internal frames are also finished in white (RAL 9003) to maintain a clean, cohesive look throughout.

The ultra slim double glazed 14mm units are filled with krypton gas, they're hand finished with a traditional style putty and are available with a 24mm wide glazing bar, all features designed for the most stringent planning areas.

Using engineered timber keeps the beautiful and tactile qualities of traditional wood but avoids the innate expansion and contraction issues that can occur from using solid wood. Engineered (multi-layered) timber is created by layering wood sections, with the grain of one section being layered in the opposing direction to the grain of its neighbour. Cleverly layering in this manner ensures any movement caused by absorption of moisture is evened out.

This leads to stronger, longer lasting windows and doors. Making sure they stay a perfect fit-just as the day they were installed.
