Mr & Mrs Harris
Located in the Test Valley town of Andover, Mr & Mrs Harris decided that they did not like their previous entrance door and instead wanted a new door with better security features.
Your front door is more than just an entryway; it’s the first impression your home makes on visitors and a key component of your property's curb appeal. Mr & Mrs Harris visited our Winchester showroom and instantly liked the timber Westonbirt entrance door that we have on show.
Mr & Mrs Harris chose a beautiful traditional entrance door with a top light above, the door sash is finished in black (RAL 9005), the frame and the cill are finished in white (RAL 9003). The entrance door features an envelope panel and bolection mouldings, the customers also opted for etched star glass in the door sash.
Using engineered timber keeps the beautiful and tactile qualities of traditional wood but avoids the innate expansion and contraction issues that can occur from using solid wood. Engineered (multi-layered) timber is created by layering wood sections, with the grain of one section being layered in the opposing direction to the grain of its neighbour. Cleverly layering in this manner ensures any movement caused by absorption of moisture is evened out.
This leads to stronger, longer lasting windows and doors. Making sure they stay a perfect fit-just as the day they were installed.
