Mr & Mrs Thomas
Mr & Mrs Thomas's property is nestled in a village north of Winchester, the customers original windows and doors were nonconforming and had to be changed.
Mr. and Mrs. Thomas opted for a like-for-like replacement of their windows and doors, choosing the same traditional style and configuration as the originals. This ensured the new installations blended seamlessly with the character of the home. The couple selected Farrow & Ball's 'Inchyra Blue' for the finish, a rich, muted tone that complements the property's brick and flint facade beautifully.
The new timber windows and doors have been constructed using engineered timber, which keeps the beautiful and tactile qualities of traditional wood but avoids the innate expansion and contraction issues that can occur from using solid wood. Engineered (multi-layered) timber is created by layering wood sections, with the grain of one section being layered in the opposing direction to the grain of its neighbour. Cleverly layering in this manner ensures any movement caused by absorption of moisture is evened out.
This leads to stronger, longer lasting windows and doors. Making sure they stay a perfect fit-just as the day they were installed.
