Mr & Mrs O'Shaughnessy's property is nestled in a village on the outskirts of Winchester, the customers have lived in the charming property since 2017. Since moving into the property, they have renovated the whole of the house internally and added an extension to the side of the house.

The customers opted to replace the windows like for like in terms of style. The sash windows and French doors are finished in white externally; internally the windows and doors are finished in white and various Farrow & Ball colours. The sash windows and French doors feature our 18mm astragal bars.

Mr & Mrs O'Shaughnessy chose a beautiful traditional 'Chalfont' entrance door with a top light above, the front door sash is finished in Farrow & Ball 'Pitch Black' and the frame is finished in white (RAL 9003). The entrance door features the charming stain nickel Samuel Heath hardware.

Using engineered timber keeps the beautiful and tactile qualities of traditional wood but avoids the innate expansion and contraction issues that can occur from using solid wood.  Engineered (multi-layered) timber is created by layering wood sections, with the grain of one section being layered in the opposing direction to the grain of its neighbour.  Cleverly layering in this manner ensures any movement caused by absorption of moisture is evened out.

This leads to stronger, longer lasting windows and doors.  Making sure they stay a perfect fit-just as the day they were installed.
