Paul has been in the window business since leaving school at 15 years old. He initially started off as a glazier which led to him fitting steel windows and learning about architectural aluminium systems. Paul then trained in fabricating aluminium doors, windows and shop front systems. With this experience Paul opened a small business in 1985 and began to fabricate his own windows and has been in the window and door business ever since, supplying and installing products in PVCu, aluminium, timber alternative and timber.
Several years ago Paul became a registered installer for TimberWindows.com, supplying and fitting engineered timber windows and doors as Timber Windows of Horndean. Paul and Sue have now opened a showroom in Winchester, Timber Windows of Winchester. Paul has qualified for an MTC card for both installing and surveying.
Outside of work, Paul is a very keen runner and has logged up over forty marathons and has run the South Downs Way 14 times, which is a distance of 80 miles!
Sue met Paul in 2003 and they married the next year. She had previously worked in administration for many years and used this experience to run the admin side of the business. Sue liaises with customers in the office and sometimes in their homes and tries to keep everything running smoothly. Sue has been known to visit sites to carry out finishing and decorating as she loves to get involved and will turn her hand to anything to help.
Sue has now taken a step back from the day-to-day running of the business but still offers help in the office when needed whilst still checking the background activities of the company.
